I left the Big 4 because I wanted to work for a smaller firm that would help me grow as an individual. I felt like a number in the Big 4, but at B&V I feel like an important part of a team. Eight years ago I was moving from Ohio and essentially going to transfer with Arthur Andersen.  The day I was going to accept the position with Arthur Andersen, I had the opportunity to interview with Briggs & Veselka Co., which at that time was 40 people.  Over the past eight years, I have had the opportunity to watch and be a part of the firm growing into Houston's largest local firm by making sure revenue and infrastructure development are in step.  How has the firm accomplished so much?  Perhaps the simplest answer is, people here care - care for clients and care for each other.
